I’m currently using AVG as my anti virus and it seems like it works pretty good. When I updated the new version it asked if I would like to try the new toolbar too. Is this toolbar needed?
http://www.avg.com/us-en/security-toolbar
is what it does.
What AVG doesn’t tell you though, is that this toolbar will actually slow your web browsing down (a little) because it needs scan the links before it loads the page for malware.
I wouldn’t recommend such a toolbar, but if you’re the type of user that loves clicking on "You’ve just won a Macbook" popup ads, then I would advise getting it.

not much more to add. i want to get rid of the freeride toolbar. so i went to start and then uninstall programs but this toolbar is not listed in the programs. help me, pleeeeease!
First — if you have not done so already, try using the Add / Remove programs utility in your Windows Control Panel. You can find step by step screenshots and instructions on how to do this at this reference site: http://uninstallmysoftware.com
If that doesn’t work, or if the software does not show up at all in your control panel, which I think is your problem, then follow these steps:
- Step 1 – Select and download any good software uninstaller application that has a free demo or trial version and try that first. Most of the time the free version is enough to fix the problem – (there are some good ones listed at the link above).
- Step 2 – Install and run the free software uninstaller you selected and follow its instructions carefully – you will see a screen with a listing of all the programs installed on your PC; often more programs than those normally listed in your Add / Remove control panel.
- Step 3 – Find the software you want to uninstall, then select and click "uninstall". All good uninstaller software will do the rest automatically. This next part is very important:
- Step 4 – Sometimes you also have to clean up your computer’s PC registry and remove leftover software keys from the uninstalled software after running the uninstaller. Some of the more advanced "pro" version uninstaller programs have this feature already built into it and will do the registry cleanup and backup automatically but some don’t. If yours doesn’t, then just use RegCure it usually works just as good — you can find a free link to it on the reference site above. If your uninstaller software does have a registry cleaner built into it – be sure to use it !

I accidently deleted the Google toolbar off my home screen on my Samsung infuse 4g, does anyone know how to get it back?
it may be part of the NEW Gmail look that forces all their users to download their NEW features.
if you dont want it, lose it. \There are many other email providers out there

When I started my computer I noticed the IE toolbar gone can I get it back?
Try any of these methods, in order, to fix the toolbar back the way you want it:
1. Try clicking F11 in case the browser was closed with the Toolbar minimized. (Sometimes it’s the Alt key instead) Then go to View > Toolbars > Menu Bar and Navigation Bar and click each to put a check mark so they stay visible.
2. Use the keyboard shortcut Alt + V at the same time to get to ‘View’, then open the Toolbars section. Check-mark the ones you need. (Alt and F4 does the same thing on some browsers.)
3. OR … Hover the cursor over an open space near the top of the address section (the ‘http://www.**** part) Right-click and you will get a drop down list with a bunch of toolbar entries. Just click the ones you want to check-mark them .
Menu Bar means File, Edit, View, Tools …
Navigation Bar means the Back and Forward arrows, Refresh Home and the main address – YOU NEED THIS!

I very much hate that thing – dunno why, but I want it gone, ha ha.
How would I do that?
I tried that – when I highlight bing the remove botton is not an option I can click. Does that mean I have to put something else there in its place, like google? I would rather not have anything.
Click on the little arrow to the right of the magnifying glass. Then click the "Manage Search Providers" tab. Once you open that. highlight Bing and on the bottom right select remove! Viola. No more Bing. It sucks. I like Google!

Right click on the tool bars at the top of your browser, untick, or uncheck said toolbar or any you want to be rid of.

I just started trying out Rockmelt and I haven’t been able to figure out how to install the Mypoints Toolbar. Is that possible or do I have to use a more conventional browser?
I had a windows vista 7 laptop, and dowloaded/installed using firefox or internet explorer.
Read emails as little,if not really wanting the service of that site.Warned of, that mypoints does not like people just clicking and reading everything. You get 5 points for emails, and the search bar will boost most of your points up.Waiting for the date of your points to add in,look for that also.
