i made a zwinky but i don’t want the toolbar how do i go on it without having to download the toolbar ?

hey i had the same problem i wanted zwinky but not the toolbar. i just downloaded zwinky with the toolbar but u cannot get rid of it sorry. the toolbar doesnt do anything though, u dont even have to use it. my dad wouldnt let me download it for a while because he didnt want the toolbar there he thought it would give the computer viruses but it never has :]

Everytime I shut down and restart IE the yahoo toolbar has to be reinstalled I have windows vista home premium. Is there anything I can do to make it be on there.

Go to view, click on toolbars, make sure there are check marks in front of everything you want displayed in the toolbars, then check>lock toolbars, works for me., running a Dell.

when i go to type something in my search bar on yahoo, if i type in the letter b, for example, under the toolbar, there’s words like ball or boy or boyfriend from previous searches underneath that i can click on to complete what i’m typing. how do i get it to stop?

Go to tools–> internet options –> content. There is where you will be able to set and delete auto finish settings.

I received an update notice and downloaded the latest version of yahoo toolbar. But now, instead of the free yahoo anti-spyware that was there before, there is an offer for a 30-day free trial with Norton anti-spy, etc. Where is the old, perpetually free version? Can I get it back?

Yahoo.com inc. has more than likely discontinued the anti-spyware option in the yahoo toolbar as such I recomend a free program called spybot search and destroy that will locate and remove 41,952 known spyware bots that install spyware to your system. the url is http://www.safernetworking.org have fun removing spyware from your system. Fair warning the program has a slight graphics problem.

i just got a new comp and am trying to download yahoo toolbar but it keeps saying error. is this because i already have another program (google toolbar) running?
if so, how do i fix it?

If you are using dial-up, please disregard my response. Google toolbar shouldn’t be a problem. However, it doesn’t hurt to uninstall Google toolbar and try the Y! toolbar again. I suggest you read these 2 tutorials first (I’m assuming you are running Vista):

Y! toolbar is only supported for Internet Explorer and Firefox. If you are trying to install on IE 8 Beta you have to use compatibility settings. If your computer came with a software security suite (e.g., Norton or McAfee), I strongly suggest you make sure that the software is at the latest level (I’m not talking about the virus definitions, I’m talking about program updates). If you are using Vista, did you check Windows Update (or Microsoft Update) for updates? Have you installed Vista Service Pack 1? Bottom line, make sure you have upgraded Vista and your Security software and try again. If you have any questions or additional information, add details to your original question. I know there is an Internet Explorer 7, but it doesn’t work on my computer.

Which toolbar won’t slow down my computer too? The MSN toolbar slows down my connection a lot.

Don’t use the tool bar. Go to control panel and uninstall them. I have 3 browser I use and I don’t use the tool bar for yahoo on any of them. The tool bar is a pain and it slows down everything. I’ve tried them all. MSN tool bar is the worst. Google tool bar is not a bad option. Try it and see what happens.

Hi, I’ve been trying to download from the web, but each time, all the slots from my country are blocked, so I am prompted to download the toolbar, but it just doesn’t suit my computer. Isn’t there any way I can avoid using it?

Evidently another program I downloaded installed the Yahoo toolbar and I already use Google Tool bar since I don’t like the Yahoo toolbar.

Go to "View", "Toolbars" and click on it to uncheck it or you can go into your Remove or add programs in control panel and delete it from there.

There was no help in the previous answer to my question. The toolbars have black backgrounds which makes it impossible to see the icons on them. The cursor can still activate the functions on the toolbars if you know where to put the cursor but you can’t see the icon you’re activating.

If you had given a link to the page, we could have given you an exact and correct answer with steps on what to do.

I have got the google toolbar but cannot delete the list of searches that has been done. I have deleted the browsing history fron IE but everytime I start typing into the google toolbar all the previous things that have been searched for show up. How do I delete this or stop it happening completely?

If you click on the "Google" sign on the left,A drop down box appears with the option to "Clear Search History:"
