Removing Yahoo toolbar from IE home page?

Posted by admin on December 26th, 2009 and filed under ie toolbar | 3 Comments »

After removing the Yahoo toolbar through Add and Remove Programs, it is still listed in the view menu of IE. How do I remove it?

Click View then Toolbars then scroll down to Yahoo Toolbar and click it.
Or you can just right click on a gray area of the toolbar and click Yahoo Toolbar which will deselect it, making it disappear.

How many searchers regularly use a search toolbar, such as the Google toolbar?

Posted by admin on December 26th, 2009 and filed under search toolbar | 4 Comments »

I would love to get numbers search engine by search engine for each of their toolbars, but I will take what I can get. I can live with percentage of searches, or number of searches, or number of users that have downloaded. I’ll take any data that anyone has.

I too use Firefox but I have found the Google Toolbar extremely useful. It’s even more useful because on both IE and Firefox is has a built-in spell checker which I use all the time too. But for all my searches it’s the Google toolbar all the way.

I don’t like IE because it doesn’t have tabs and because I don’t want to download both the MSN desktop search and the new toolbar.

If you are interested on statistics read this article at Search Engine Watch, http://searchenginewatch.com/reports/article.php/2156431

None of the preceding things have worked. They either detected nothing, or in the case of yahoo toolbar, the spyware blocked it. Does anyone know of anything full-proof (and free)?

What happened to the "toolbar" on the bottom of my web browser?

Posted by admin on December 26th, 2009 and filed under web toolbar | 3 Comments »

I think i may have accidentaly hit a button that took the gray toolbar thing away from the bottom of my web browser/page (it usually displays the website i believe), so now, whenver i click something (for example, Y!A, and then clicking "ask", rather than opening the page in that same window, it opens a new window/browser all together), anyone know how i get it back?

double click on the top bar of your internet page. like as the close out button is on the top right. not on the x or the two other boxes next to it just click in the middle of the page.

I have five lines of toolbars. I only want yahoo toolbar. I cannot find them under ”add or remove” programs.

you are looking in the wrong place.
Toolbars you find in each browser himself
eg: Firefox in the top : the menubar click on "view" then "toolbars" there you can mark and unmark the desired toolbars.
for Internet Explorer = the same.

how do I delete previoius searches in the google toolbar?

Posted by admin on December 26th, 2009 and filed under google toolbar | 1 Comment »

I am using Mozilla Firefox and I would like to delete all the searches in the toolbar. There are some previous searches that were on the computer beforehand.

Anytime you type a letter in the google search bar, it shows a list of words in the toolbar. Please let me know how to clear that because I try to go on tools, options, clear but the words still when you type any letter, it still shows a list of words in the toolbar.

Go to the google toolbar, double click and then all of your searches will show up below. Move your cursor down below so that the first search term is highlighted and click delete. Do this until all searches are cleared. You can also go to your computer options and clean your cookies which will delete everything. I hope I helped.
