Help: I downloaded a certain toolbar for my browser, but now it won’t uninstall, and it’s attracting garbage?

Posted by admin on June 22nd, 2010 and filed under browser toolbar | 8 Comments »

I run the latest Firefox but now I can’t close a tab without loosing them all, and there’s leftover stuff from the toolbar after uninstall… also it’s attracting bad cookies to latch on my browser… should I uninstall Firefox and install again?

How do I save my bookmarks?

Click on TOOLS on the FireFox browser menu. Next click on ADD-ONs. You should be able to disable the toolbar.

Uninstall Firefox and install it again.

Make sure your other browser works first.

You might try google for uninstall instructions. Do it from IE, because most malware tries to block access to websites that tell how to remove it.

Don’t uninstall ur firefox………do u have ccleaner…….if u didn’t then download it from http://www.piriform.com/ccleaner……..after downloading run ccleaner & delete unnecessary cookies, caches, bookmarks & history FROM firefox………now run firefox again and see if it fixes or not!

    It’s probably the quickest way.
Have a look @ FEBE: copies a lot of Firefox settings so it can be moved/re-installed.
    Pretty handy.

    For sure do these steps:
►FIREFOX: Tools> Options> Privacy> top drop menu set to "Firefox will use custom settings…"> Check ‘Accept Cookies from sites’
    & Un-Check ‘Accept 3rd Party cookies’
    These also help:
