how do i get rid of aol, aim, anything to do with the browser, toolbar, anything?
very annoying, don’t know how i got it, but would like it to be gone.
i tried to search for it, but nothing shows up. my computer illiteracy is showing.
tried what everyone said, can’t find it.
it’s a mozilla add-on, finally dumped it. persistent little bugger.
thanks to all.
Be careful when you download new programs, not to just accept the whole package. Go for custom download and uncheck boxes that include tool bars and search engines.Read the user agreements. Many of these user agreements also include spy ware or things you would be surprised to find.
GO TO START>CONTROL PANEL>REMOVE HARDWARE and there you go just look for the thing you don’t want and proceed with removing.

go to Start>control panel>Add remove programs
and it should say Aim or American Online in the list.

You should go to the Control Panel and Add/Remove Programs….
I had something like that (but it was the Google toolbar) and when I uninstalled them it never bothered me again.
I hope I helped!
