I have windows vista and i don’t have a search toolbar anymore, how do i add one google, bing or yahoo

Just put the websites in your favourites. Toolbars are renowned for helping virus’s and trojans infiltrate your computer. if you REALLY need one, then make sure you have kick ass protection and download it off the google website.

How can I restore google search to my toolbar?

The rectangle with google search that lets me search anything from my toolbar has vanished. I can open aol and search through there but how can I restore it. I use imac snow leopard.

Restarting your computer always helps. then go to Google and type in Google search bar. I’ve always just downloaded it from there, because for some reason I can never find it in Add-ons. I believe this is the website, but double check, because my internet is crap and wouldn’t let me actually load it to make sure. http://toolbar.google.com/ Hope it helps! I know I can’t live without the search bar there.

Why doesn’t pressing the enter key work when i enter text in yahoo toolbar search box?

In the past, when i entered text in the Yahoo toolbar search box and pressed enter, yahoo would begin the search, but now it doesn’t. Now i have to click on search on the Yahoo toolbar. I don’t like this, it is much slower for me. how can i change it?

I want to remove the yahoo search area on the left of the toolbar since I really only search on Google…is this possible?

Unfortunately, no, you can’t remove the "WEB SEARCH" part of the Yahoo! Toolbar. It’s there to stay. That’s the price we have to pay for a "free" toolbar. If you grab the resizing control (it looks like a vertical bar with left/right arrows) just to the right of the "WEB SEARCH" text, you can resize it to make it smaller – taking up less space.

right click on the toolbar and untick the babayloon toolbar ………then ur toolbar may be remove

Can a popup appear in the Search Engine toolbar as a suggestion?

My friend’s son said he wasn’t looking at a porn site. When she got on the internet, she clicked in the search bar at the top and typed "www.k" and a suggested porn site came up. Does that mean he was on there or can a pop-up really "just appear" as a suggestion? I told her that couldn’t happen. That a pop-up could not do that. Am I right?

Well, Google does that.
Try typing www.k in google search box.
Depending on which country you are suggestions may or may not include a porn site, and the chap may not have searched for it knowingly.

By the way, checking the search "History" would be a better idea. Plus there are Free "Keyloggers" available for download – which will record every letter the kid types on his keyboard. Ask her to install that in the computer and also enable a Parental Control.

How do you get rid of Ask search engine and frostwire toolbar?

So i had frostwire and then i deleted the program from my computer (via control panel), but i still have a frostwire tool bar and an ask search engine that i got after initially downloading the program.
Does the toolbar mean frostwire still has a presence in my computer, because i want to thoroughly delete it.

frostwire may still have a few files left behind i have found some games and such keep files when deleted so i suggest running search selecting search in computer and searching for frostwire
and go to add/remove and check for frostwire related stuff and the ask toolbar there
also that person who said opera/google chrome where the most user friendly is wrong(though at least they aren’t recommending safari) there opera is nothing compared to Mozilla firefox (i run both and not i.e) but im not sure about chrome since i never bothered to run it since firefox works perfectly for pretty much anything

There is a bing search toolbar in my right hand corner and it is set to default. How do I delete it?

When I go into add/remove programs bing is not there. Does this have something to do with it being set to default?

How do I put in autofill in my google search (toolbar)?

I have a mac and I use Safari. In my took bar I have the google search tool, and it used to give me the drop down list like it does when you’re actually on the google website, but recently it’s stopped doing that and only drops down to show me my previous searches. I tried "customize toolbar" but there wasn’t an option to change it…How can I change it back?

It should be on the right hand side of the search bar to turn on

hi all i have just got a wave but i am having a few problems. how do i get the quick help menu off the main screen along with the google search toolbar and map icon? also when i set a image as my screen saver it doesnt show the whole picture if i leave it as a portrait picture i have to change it to landscape. any help please? thanks

At the top rt. of your web page, click, "Tools". Next, click, "Tool Bars". Uncheck any unwanted Tool Bars and then, click anything on your web page to Exit ‘Tools’.
That’s it ! Done !
