Where are my favorites on my internet toolbar?

I always had a favorites list and something happened to my favorites list. Where is it? I have many important favorites that are on my favorites list. What happened to it? I need it now.

If you are using the newest browsers with the condensed Address bars (Internet Explorer 9, Firefox 4 or Google Chrome) the Favorites show as a Star icon, usually at the right.
