Daniel Vincent Kelley giving the know how to set firefox to default search engine google. This might become an issue for you after you install any application bundled with ask.com’s “ask toolbar”.
Sorry for the delay … Sorry for the delay in responding… I been on the road a few months… The last symbol is an equals sign (=). The last expression in the url is &q=
Maybe you need to … Maybe you need to first UNINSTALL the ask toolbar. After you uninstall the ask toolbar, THEN follow this tutorial to reset the default search engine.

Thanks for this – I … Thanks for this – I rarely used Ask before, but I hate people messing with my computer andI will neverr ever use them again. If more people did this maybe they would get the message – leave my machine alone!!

Yeah I tried Chrome … Yeah I tried Chrome. It’s a lot quicker than IE and about the same speed as FF. I’ve habituated using FF and I haven’t found any great convenience to using Chrome, so usually I just use FF. I found it useful when I want to sign into 2 accounts on the same website though. To do that I used to use IE which is RIDICULOUSLY slow in Vista. Seems like it was quicker under windows 95. Leave it to little squishy (micro soft) to regress a software platform.
oo 1st i use … oo 1st i use chrome, its awesome! very handy, u tried it yet? i find it easy as i use the same websites and they are all there ready for me.
