How do I get rid of an unwanted toolbar that keeps popping up on start up?

Posted by admin on March 2nd, 2010 and filed under toolbar | 3 Comments »

The program seems to be something called "websearch". It happened as I ws trying to, supposedly, download some free, printable invitations. Now the toolbar won’t go away. I can hide it after startup but it’s annoying. Aside from that, for the first time today, I got a message saying that "websearch was trying to prevent another program from being my default search engine." Heeeeeeeeeeeeelp meeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!

Any and all answers are appreciated.

Go to your start up menu. then click on control panel. go to add/remove programs. wait til the list populates. click on the program (be careful to make sure you get the right one) then click on remove

Next time before going into an unknown site, you should do a little research about it (siteadvisor.com).
