Why did the yahoo toolbar install when i deliberately told it not to?

Why did the yahoo toolbar install when i deliberately told it not to? In the box that said, "do you want to install yahoo toolbar onto your browser." I unchecked it, but it installed anyway.
Now how do I get rid of it?

Go to "my computer". Look for the uninstall and change option. Find the yahoo toolbar and uninstall it from there.
