What are the toolbars on the bottom of windows vista pc’s or mac pc’s called? The ones that display your items?

Well they are toolbars at the bottom of Windows Vista computers or Macintosh computers. When you hover your mouse at the very bottom, a small toolbar appears with items that are in your computer. What are they called? And what are they called in Google Desktop? I want to download it so bad.

Vista/XP – Taskbar
Mac OSX – Dock
Google Desktop – Widget’s

Also I may think you may be describing ObjectDock whihc is installed by some PC maker’s on Vista, my Dad’s Dell came with it.
