How do I get rid of a my web search toolbar on my mac?

i have a school mac laptop. today i tried downloading some tv channel thing tht is blocked, but it added a whole toolbar and crap how do i get rid of it???????????????????????????????????
But where is the choice to "add or remove" faith ?

Disable it through the browser you use, IE, Firefox, for example, or go to Add/Remove programs in Control Panel and remove it from there.
